Myomas are seen very common in reproductive age. They are mostly benign. They are not increased risk of uterine cancer.Their sizes are varied. They can be very small of big .Sometimes it can be diagnosis at rutine ultrasound examination.Many women who have fibroids dont have any symptoms.Symptoms can be influenced by the location,size and number of fibroids.
Symptoms : Heavy menses bleeding, pelvic pain, pressure, constipation, urinary difficulties, backpain ,leg pain.
The cause of fibroids are not clear. It can be genetic, hormons. Estragen and progesterone stimulate growing of fibroids.It is beleived that myomas arises from smooth muscle of uterus.
Uterine fibrous are not dangerous, but they can cause anemia , fatique because of heavy bleeding.
