Their importance is depend on the straints of HPV virus.
Risk factors : Having unprotected sex with multiple partners , becoming sexually active at young age , having a compromised immun system such as HIV .
HPV infection complications : Cervical cancer of uterus has been closely linked with genital HPV infection. Especially type 16,18,33,31. HPV infection doesn’t always lead to cancer , but it is important for women to have regular pap smear test , especially those who have been infected with high risk types of HPV. For diagnosis pap smear test and the same time HPV typing must be done.
For prevention vaccinization is available. It can be used as early as 9 years. The name of these Gardasil and cervarix.
For the treatment of wards there is some medical solutions:
Aldara ( imiquimod) , podophylin, and tricholoroacetic acid. If warts are very big and medical treatment is not enough, cauterization , laser treatment can be done .
