What is the complain of having myoma and treatment options

 

Myoma causes more bleeding at menstruation time . Sometimes this bleeding appears any time of cycle.They cause cramping pain .If someone is pregnant and also has myoma  must be more attention. Because if myoma grows through the womb  , it can cause early delivery or abortion.

If myoma is small and complains are not very much , only observation is enough.But if it is big  and causes much more bleeding , at that time it must be threated. Myomas are beningn, but very rare they can convert a sarcoma. If a myoma grows very rapidly and fastly must be alert. Because of it following of patient is important.

Myoma can be threated by medically but it is not sufficient forever. For awhile GnRH analogs can be use for it. GnRH analogs causes transient menopouse , but these medications can not be use long time because of osteoporosis risk.

Also oral contraceptives can be use but they are not effective for size of myoma . Transenamic acide must be use only bleeding time

Arterial embolization are been using for myomas. It must be done by a radiologist with gynecologist . Mostly it is succesful .

For surgical therapy laparoscopic or open myomectomy are the definitive option. Hysteroscopic myomectomy is also can be done if the localization of myoma is proper.

If someone doesnt want any other pregnancy , according to the decision of patient hysterectomy can be done.

After myomectomy operation another myoma can be appear . This the nature of myomas.
